Before:Here is a brass Egyptian camel I picked up from an Egyptian vendor while traveling through the Suez Canal in 1990. |
After:At first I tried using the magnetic polygonal lasso tool; however, after twenty mintues with little success I switched back to the same tool without the magnetic option. I applied a 2 pixal feather around the camel, then added a Chrome filter at 85% opacity. This filter is found in the Sketch segment of the filter drop down menu. I also inverted the selection and added a fibers look to it which is found in the "Render" section. |
Before:Here is a ceramic Ninja I obtained while stationed on mainland Japan. |
After:Here it is again after a few adjustments. Using the polygonal lasso tool, I was able to select only the Ninja. I applied a 3 pixal feather around the edges and then used a filter in the brush strokes section called "ink outlines." Afterwards, I inverted the selection and "solarized" the remaining image found in the sylized filter section.

Before:Here is a Japanese short sword. Its a replica. |
After:Using the polygonal lasso tool I selected the sword and first applied a filter to despeckle. I then applied the Chalk & Charcol sketch filter. I again inverted the selection and added a texture filter called "stained glass." |
